Our quiet location gives you a peaceful nights sleep while still being in the centre of town and close to the town's attractions. We're also just across the road from the Rutherglen Gardens (with a fantastic children's playground), King Lake and Public Swimming Pool.

Poachers Paradise Hotel is the best place in Rutherglen to enjoy a meal, drink or watch live sport on our big screen. We have all the fox sports channels and show every AFL game live. (We can put on your favourite sport, just ask). We also have full TAB facilities and an extensive range of beer on tap and bottled. Our wine list features some great local wines, many available by the glass, which will perfectly accompany one of our great bistro meals. WEDNESDAY NIGHT Fish, Chips & Salad $15 Beer Battered Fish of the day, served with chips and a garden salad. THURSDAY NIGHT Pot & Parma from $14.90 Choose one of huge Chicken Parma’s. The chefs have a great range to choose from with a variety of toppings. Try the Hawaiian or the Italian with a rich bolognaise sauce. If your adventurous or really hungry try the Meatlovers Parma or the Seafood Parma. Of course the Traditional Parma is still available and as popular as ever. All Parma’s come with chips and salad, and a pot of any beer or cider on tap. FRIDAY NIGHT Happy Hour 5.00pm – 7.00pm $3 Pots, free finger food. Every drink purchased gets you a ticket in the raffle. There are heaps of prizes and one lucky person gets a pick of the board in the Joker Jackpot. (Starts at $200 and jackpots each week until someone picks the Joker.) Booking Policy

If a confirmed booking is cancelled: Seven (7) or more days before arrival date - a $25 administration fee per cancelled room will be charged to the guest who made the booking Less than seven (7) days before arrival date - a charge will be applied to the guest who made the booking to the value of one nights accommodation per cancelled room During weekends, long weekends or special events where a booking has been made with a minimum night stay, single nights cannot be cancelled. Please Note: If cancelling a booking by fax or email, do not consider the booking cancelled until we acknowledge the cancellation by return fax/email. In the event a notification of cancellation is not received hence acknowledged and a guest does not show, the full tariff for the booked stay will be charged.
