The Cottage at Bolobek

The Cottage at Bolobek was originally the a Station Hands house. It is located in the middle of the property right beside the historic garden.

The Cottage is an extremely comfortable and sophisticated two bedroom, self-contained house set in its own private garden.

If you are looking to escape the city for a couple of days of relaxation in a beautiful setting or if you have an event in the area and need somewhere to stay, The Cottage is the perfect destination.

The Cottage sleeps four people but once a room is booked the other room will be made unavailable (unless you are a group of four) so that you will have the house to yourself.

There are two bedrooms, the Fern Room and the Pear Room, both with king size beds and ensuite bathrooms. The Fern Room bathroom also has a bath.

There are full cooking facilities an a BBQ. Breakfast provisions provided.

The Cottage has a fireplace and wood and kindling are supplied. There are walks, games, books, and magazines.

Tours of the beautiful heritage listed garden can be arranged by appointment.

The Cottage is approximately 3 kilometers from the towns of New Gisborne, Macedon and Mt Macedon.

Getting There : The Cottage is approximately 3 kilometers from the towns of New Gisborne, Macedon and Mt Macedon and less then 1 hours drive from Melbourne. Detailed information to your cottage will be provided on booking.

The Fern Room

The Fern Room overlooks the magnificent vegetable garden where most of the contents of your breakfast originate from.

The Fern Room has a king size bed, fresh garden flowers and local water. Relax and unwind in your private ensuite with bath while using the Myrtle and Moss bath range.

You can relax by yourself or with friends in front of the fire. You can read books, go for walks, play games or cook up a storm in the self contained cottage.

The Pear Room

The Pear Room overlooks the working farm. Look out the window to see cattle and sheep grazing quietly, you may even see lamb or a little calf depending on the time of year.

Terms and Conditions

Booking Policy

Our tariff is based on a per room basis with two persons per bedroom.
Balance of the rental amount must be received in full 7 days prior to occupancy or if not the owner has the right to cancel the booking and attempt to re let it

Deposit Policy

Deposit of 50% is required to secure the booking. Payment of the rental deposit constitutes the clients acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Cancellation Policy

The deposit is refunded in full if cancellation is received 14 days prior to arrival date. If less than 14 days notice is given, deposit will be refunded only if a replacement booking is obtained.

No Show Policy

Full amount is forfeited

Child Policy

The Cottage at Bolobek is not suited to accommodate children. While the team at Bolobek love children, the cottage is simply not adequately equipped or designed for children as Bolobek is a working farm. Guests must be over 18.

Check-in Policy

Please contact should you wish to check in or out at other times them stated. We may be able to assist you depending on other bookings.

Other Policy

Pets are not allowed.

Loss of the key by the tenants will incur a charge of $50 for the replacement of lock barrels and new keys.

The property and its contents, equipment and appliances are checked regularly and believed to be in good working order. The proprietors of The Cottage at Bolobek cannot accept responsibility for circumstances beyond their control in the unlikely event of mechanical breakdown, plumbing or wiring problems, inclement weather etc.

The owners reserve the right to alter, adjust or cancel bookings where operational or other issues prevent the use of the property by guests and shall not be liable for any costs arising out of said cancellation. A full refund of tariff will be made.


Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.

Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Use contrary to this will result in additional payments.

Damage, Theft and Loss are the tenants responsibility during their stay. The owners take no responsibility for the tenant personal property.

Departure - the property should be left in a similar state to its condition on arrival.

Should for these reasons you not wish to proceed with the booking you can request a full refund which will be forthcoming.
