Daintree Secrets is your own private waterfall sanctuary set in the heart of the beautiful Daintree Rainforest, the oldest rainforest in the world! Only two hours scenic drive from Cairns, this secluded property captures the true essence of this spectacular wilderness.

When you arrive, you are greeted by the sound of the waterfalls and bird calls. The view from the verandah is breath-taking!

This is your home for the next few days, and will be immediately relaxed. You may find that you only get as far as the verandah, with its spectacular view of the lush green rainforest surrounding the waterfalls and sparkling natural swimming pool. But a swim with the jungle perch and back massage under the waterfalls is highly recommended. Keep your eyes out for the resident turtles.

We provided 2 luxury double "Ambient Lounge" bean bags which we recommend taking down by the swimming pool with a cold drink (non-breakable drinkware provided) and a good book to while away the day. The palms provide shade if needed or you can choose a sunny spot.

You will never want to leave! Daintree Secrets has the only private, natural swimming pool in the rainforest.

The house is fully furnished with three bedrooms, 2 beautiful bathrooms and open plan living/kitchen area which allows views of the rainforest, waterfalls and stream from all rooms.

There are 2 king size beds in separate rooms and a queen and long single in the third bedroom.

Tucked in at the base of Thornton Peak we have a continual water supply, allowing us to run our own hydro-electric power supply. In keeping with the Grade 3 Heritage Listing (the highest in the world), you can rest assured that your carbon footprint whilst at Daintree Secrets is negligible.

All linen, including beach towels for swimming in our crystal-clear pools, are provided for your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped (a MasterChef would be impressed) and we provide pantry basics - Daintree tea and plunger coffee, sugar, Himalayan salt and pepper grinders, extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, flours, condiments and much more!

The house has a TV, DVD and CD player along with a library of DVD’s and CD’s for your enjoyment. There is also a selection of books and games. However, there is no cable television or internet, one of the joys of this pristine paradise.

To ensure you make the most of your stay we recommend a minimum of 3 nights stay so you can see and do the many activities in this pristine paradise, and still have time to relax and enjoy your own private waterfall sanctuary in the heart of the Daintree.

3 Bedroom House
The only house in the Daintree with private waterfalls and a large, natural swimming hole. The 3 bedroom house sleeps 7. The kitchen is fully equipped with a large fridge/freezer.
There is no television, mobile phone range or internet in this remote part of Australia, which is part of what makes the region special.

If you value privacy and love to swim, you will love our open plan home in the rainforest.

Centrally located, Daintree Secrets is the perfect base from which to explore the Cape Tribulation/ Daintree area. Close to all attractions, cafes and restaurants. You may decide to self cater or you have the option to dine out.

The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm. We are centrally located with restaurants and cafes only 2 - 5 minute drive away from the house. We suggest bringing at least breakfast supplies as there is limited supplies available north of the Daintree River. Detailed Information will be sent to you to help you plan your stay, including information on self catering and dining out.

Booking Policy

Bookings will not be confirmed until we receive the deposit required. A security deposit of $1000 is payable and will be refunded in total if there is no damage to the property. This includes damage to the timber floors and benches over and above normal wear and tear. Moving large furniture is not normal wear and tear.

Cancellation Policy

We have a strict no cancellation policy All cancellations will result in the loss of the full amount of your stay, unless there is a bonafide reason that you cannot get to the property.

Checkin Policy

Check-in time starts at 3 PM. A security deposit of $1000 is payable and will be refunded in total if there is no damage to the property. This includes damage to the timber floors and benches over and above normal wear and tear. Moving large furniture is not normal wear and tear.

Child Policy

All children are welcome.

Deposit Policy

You will be charged a prepayment of the total price at any time after the booking. A security deposit of $1000 is payable and will be refunded in total if there is no damage to the property. No-show Policy

In case of NoShow 100% of total booking cost will be charged.

Other Policy

No Party Policy. No parties or excessive noise will accepted. Definitely no more then 7 adults to stay at the house. We do not allow moving of large items of furniture(beds/ day bed etc) as this will damage the timber floors and you will lose your security deposit. Cutting boards are provided and MUST be used on timber bench tops. Damage will result in the loss of your deposit.
